I graduated with my doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1996, a school that is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). My pre-doctoral internship was completed at the fully accredited Michigan State University's Counseling Center.

I have completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Gottman's training for couples and an externship in Sue Johnson's (EFT) Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy . I have also received training in hypnotherapy, Rapid Resolution Trauma Therapy (Certified Practitioner), Dialectical Behavioral Training (DBT), and EMDR, Level 1, and dream interpretation with Arthur Bernard.

My work history includes working in child protective agencies, domestic violence shelters, childcare centers, nursing homes, and in my private practice.

Currently, I am an Associate/Affiliate Faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am also an Adjunct Professor at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. I also consulted at a preschool in Evanston, IL. with at risk children for 12 years. In my private practice, I work with a wide array of clients but also consult with various agencies to fulfill their clinical needs. I am also a volunteer psychologist with the Kovler Center and work with victims that have experienced political torture. I also serve as a volunteer on the Emergency Response Team for the American Red Cross Association.

I am a long standing member of  the American Psychological Association (APA).
